Ghanaian celebrated hiplife and rap addict, known in the Showbiz as Okyeame Kwame, who has been in the music industry for the past 22 years, has added another great award to his gallery at the just ended MTN 4Syte Music Video Awards 2019.
Okyeame Kwame who was part of the first hiplife group to receive Ghana Music award for the hiplife song of the year, won another prestigious award at the event.
After been crown the winner for the Best Hiplife Video of the year, with his song titled ‘Bra’ featuring Afriyie Wutah, at the 2019 MTN 4Syte Music Video, Okyeame made a sensational thank you message after receiving the award.

“22yrs ago, we started on a Hip-life Journey with the passion to be heard… I just wanted people to hear my Raps. I didn’t want to be a celebrity, I didn’t want to be an icon, I didn’t want to be a Star…all I wanted was for my song to be played on radio, just once. Now, I get called to meetings my father only dreamt about, I get waved at in public, I get Awards for just doing my work and loving it. This is because my initial dream of wanting to be heard was extended by You (THE FAN) when you told me how much you loved my music, when you laughed at my Mohawk, when you criticized my wrong moves, when you liked my pictures on social media, when you bought my music, when you sent me direct messages to better my life. Today, I just want to say THANK YOU. Some of the people we started this with are dead (deceased)..Dasebre3 Dwamena, OmanHene Pozo, Micheal Dwamena and many others. 22yrs after my entry, you still like my tweets, buy my music, quote my raps and give me Awards. I just want to say THANK YOU AGAIN. Now I don’t want you to just hear me, I want to be a part of everything that will help develop OUR MOTHER GHANA”
