Sarkodie plans to diversify his rap career by pursuing a rivalry with either Cassper Nyovest from South Africa or Nigeria’s best MI Abaga.

This information was recently shared by the Ghanaian rapper, who is recognised as the best MC on the continent, with Emmanuel Sandyman, also known as Fire Stick, a Ghanaian socialite residing in the UK.

Throughout their conversation, Sarkodie made it obvious to them that he will never fight an up-and-coming rapper from Ghana who confronts him either directly or indirectly.

The head of Sark Nation claimed that because of his undisputed dominance and history in Ghana, he needs fierce competition from other rappers on the continent.

I sense you only answer when you’re unsure of your [superior] position, he claimed.

He responded “Cassper, sure” when the host mentioned the South African rap artist Cassper Yyovest.

Sark used his hands in the air to illustrate the aforementioned rappers’ “higher level” as justification for taking on them. No offence to other rappers, he said, “but let’s be business-wise practical.”

Few house ago,there has been news circulating that Music legend Daddy Lumba has opened his own radio station.


Often regarded as the best Ghanaian musician of all time, Daddy Lumba has reportedly unveiled his own private radio station located at North Legon in Accra.

The new station, named after the initials of his name DL will run on the frequency 106.9.

Daddy Lumba, in all, has released 33 albums and several hits to his credit that have won countless awards.

The music legend made the announcement on his official Facebook page alongside photos of the station as shared below with this short caption;

Some admirers think that Sarkodie didn’t start out his musical career in this way. That Sarkodie, who has long been considered as a cool artist, could change overnight into a bag person or negative role model, in their opinion, beyond belief.

Well, some of the BET Award-winning actor’s admirers have expressed worry about her psychological and emotional well-being while others have questioned what may have precipitated this sudden change in his lifestyle.

Since then, King Sark has been pictured smoking a cigar in the majority of his photos and videos. The well-known rapper declared in a freestyle that he will put an end to his frequent cigar smoking this year in a video that has already gone viral on social media.

Renowned Ghanaian rapper known with his Showbiz name as Sarkodie, who is said to be one of Africa’s most consistent and decorated artiste of our time, has been celebrated big time again by the Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards scheme.

The Iconic Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo, made Ghana and Africa proud when he won the BET “Best International Flow” award to his ever-growing cabinet of awards in 2019.

Sarkodie became the first musician to grab the award, as it was a new category. The Tema-born rapper received the award at the 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip Hop Awards at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, GA.

The 2019 Awards event was held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Georgia, United States and was hosted by American comedian, actor and entertainer, Lil Duval.

Dope and heavy weight Ghanaian, and Africa’s most decorated rapper at the moment, Michael Owusu Addo who is professionally known as Sarkodie, boss of the Sarkcess Music Label is now the most followed ghanaian musician on Instagram.

In a new development, Sarkodie has now officially surpassed 5 Million total followers on his verified Instagram account (@sarkodie) The Highest.

According to Instagram’s algorithm check, Sarkodie joined the then photo sharing app in December 2012 with his account spending most of it’s online presence based in the United States and ten years on he has accumulated over 5 Million followers making him the most followed ghanaian musician on the platform.

Sarkodie is followed by Stonebwoy with 4.1 million followers and the third most followed ghanaian musician being Mona Montrage also Hajia4Reall with 4 million followers on Instagram.

Shatta Wale also has has 3.8 million followers on Instagram, and Black Sherif still working hard to the top with his 1.2 Million followers there.

According to him, his numbers on social media since shot up. He also revealed that, Sarkodie posted him on all his social media handles.

He continued , “‘Sarkodie had a private chart with me on Twitter, and he even followed all my personal pages. This made a lot of his followers to start following me to push my works to the world”.

The boss of Sarkcess Music father, known in real life Mr. Augustine Owusu Addo, father of Sarkodie, has made some revelations about what he saw his child when he was young and why he chose the name Michael as the English name for his son.

Some parents name their kids after some family relative or a friend or even some role models or people that they simply admire.

In a short interview with Max24 TV at 2020 Rapperholic monitors by Sarkodieg.com,  Mr. Owusu Addo disclosed that when Sarkodie was growing up as a boy, he didn’t know he would be so great as he is today.

He also continued that, he named his him Micheal, because he was a very big fan of the late American pop star, Micheal Jackson.

“As you know, Sarkodie’s real name is called Michael Owusu Addo. I was a very big fan of Michael Jackson so that’s how come I named him Michael. I didn’t know he was going to be great in music as he is now,” he told the host.

Mr. Owusu added that he didn’t know Sarkodie was going to be a musician and a big one at that and now he’s proud of how far he’s come in the music space….

“When he started, I actually asked him and he said it was just like a hobby but I realized he went on with it and now here he is. I am very happy and I pray he does even better.”

When asked about his favorite song from his son, he mentioned “Brighter Day” which featured Obrafour.
