Dr Pounds blasts Medikal for using fake break up story with Fella Makafui to hype new song with Kidi

Ace radio personality on Hitz FM, known as Dr. Pounds, on his show, ‘Hitz Gallery’ on Hitz 103.9FM, has rebuked rapper, Medikal for his use of publicity stunt to promote his songs.

According to him, Publicity acts are good; a part of the shaping of the entertainment industry, but they have their limit or utilization.

“Just like anything else – too much of it could mean, over-egg’ing’ the pudding and that can be irritating – and OAP, Dr. Pounds angrily said.

The presenter was agitated over the rapper’s decision to use the story of her break-up with girlfriend, Fella Makafui to project his KiDi-assisted single, ‘Comeback’.

“Medikal at this stage doesn’t need hype to push his songs,” he stated.

He also expressed that, his move to use the Fella stunt has got many observers angry, hence, their refusal to accept and push the song;

“The silly thing you did is what is making people not pay attention to the song. Stop the silly stunt to promote songs.”

He professed his admiration for the song in-spite of the backlash.

“This is a beautiful song. One of the best works of Medikal, I love it,” he said.

Dr. Pounds also compared Medikal’s stunt-making moves to Sarkodie, stressing that the latter won’t resort to stunts to promote his songs.

“Sark won’t do this,” he exclaimed!

According to the Prophet, he revealed that Wendy Shay will be kidnapped and will die through that. Speaking to his congregation during prophecy time, the pastor indicated that some occult people have hatched a plan to kidnap and kill her to get powers.

In a video sighted by Ebosafo.com was seen a renowned Media critic known as Nana Hoahi has also made his assertion concerning the prophesy.

Nana Hoahi who was never happy how the pastor took to Social Media to make known such Prophesies, warned him to Shut up or will not be happy if he takes him on.

Sarkodie tops 3 Music Awards with 13 nominations, Closed Up by Shatta Wale & Stonebwoy (Full List)

The nominations for the 3rd edition of the 3Music Awards has finally announced on January 30, 2020.

Top notch artiste Leading the nomination for this year’s edition is rapper Sarkodie.

The 2019 Artiste of the Decade swept 13 awards with his works including ones from his just-released album ‘Black Love’.

Sarkodie was nominated under the award scheme’s biggest category ‘Song of the Year’ with ‘Saara’ which features songstress Efya.

He was also nominated for the Male Act of The Year, Hiplife/Hip-hop Act of The Year, Video of The Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Hip-hop Song of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, Afrobeat/Afropop Song of the Year, Fan Army of the Year, Digital Act of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Performer of the Year.

Sarkodie was nominated twice in the Hip-hop Song of the Year with Bleeding and Biibi Ba.

‘Saara’ featuring Efya alone earned him three nominations while ‘Biibi Ba’ gathered two.

Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy followed closely with 10 nominations each.

The two were nominated side-by-side in about five categories including Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year, Best Performer of the Year, Male Act of the Year and the biggest award on the night Song of the Year.

Ololo, Shuga, Kpo Keke are some of Stonebwoy’s songs that were nominated.

Some of Shatta Wale’s work which earned him nominations are Melissa, Cultural Anthem, Wonder Boy album, Island.

Medikal was nominated under eight categories. His song ‘Ayekoo’ in which he professes his love for his girlfriend, Fella Makafui, is up for the Song of the Year category.

Kwesi Arthur came in with seven nominations. His song ‘Noboby’ featuring Mr Eazi off his LFNKII album earned him three nominations. The song enjoyed massive airplay and drew attention to the rapper’s album especially after it’s video featured TV personality Efia Odo, with whom the Kwesi Arthur was rumoured to be dating at the time.

He was also nominated twice for the Afrobeat/Afropop Song of the Year award with Nobody and African Girl featuring Shatta Wale.

Wendy Shay followed with six nominations including Female Act of the Year, Digital Act of the Year, Album of the Year and the Song of the Year award.

Her song Stevie Wonder which stayed on many chart shows for weeks earned her the most nominations. She is also the only female with that high number of nominations.

Singer Cina Soul has for the first time been nominated in some of the award scheme’s big categories including Highlife Song of the Year and Video of the Year with ‘Ojorley’.

She was also nominated for the Highlife Act of the Year and the Best Female Vocal Performance award.

One song who’s nomination many Ghanaians anticipated was Kofi Kinaata’s Things Fall Apart.

It was nominated for both Song of the Year and the Highlife Song of the Year.

Other acts nominated include Lynx Entertainment signees KiDi and Kuami Eugene who are going head to head for the Highlife Song of the Year and the Highlife Act of the Year award.

KiDi’s debut album ‘Sugar’ is also in the running for the Album of the Year award.

King Promise, Pappy Kojo, Joey B, Fameye, DopeNation are some of the artistes nominated.

Tracy Reveals how she wished she was 3 years old with Sarkodie as her Daddy – As She Gets ‘jealous’ over Titi’s first class treatment

The Wife of Ghanaian heavy weight rapper Sarkodie, known as Tracy Owusu Addo gets jealous as her husband flies their daughter Adalyn Owusu Addo ‘Titi’ on a first class.

The Ghanaian BET winner and daughter Titi seem to be out of the country. Titi was spotted on a first-class flight on Sunday, January 27.

Tracy shared Titi’s fun moment – playing around like there are no restrictions – on the flight through her Instagram story.

In one of the videos, she captioned: “When you fly with daddy, you fly different”. And in another video, she said: “I wish I was 3 years old and my daddy was Sarkodie.”

However, Sarkodie hasn’t shared videos from their trip on his Instagram – probably for security reasons.

Rex Omar expresses deep regret for Obour joining NPP Party Primaries

One of the top Ghanaian highlife artiste, known as Rex Owusu Marfo, known on stage as Rex Omar has given his full backing to former President of Musician Union of Ghana [MUSIGA], Obour as he formally publicized his intention to contest as parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem South Constituency.

However, the ‘Abiba’ hit singer in a post on his social media platform discovered that Obour has found himself in a wrong party [NPP].

Rex Omar who is a staunch advocate and a member of the National Democratic Congress hates the fact that Obour has joined the ruling NPP.

The singer, composer, arranger, producer and culture advocate who is regarded as the most authentic Ghanaian artiste has expressed disappointment in the performance of the current government [NPP].

The Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), is on record to have stated that the NPP government has reneged on a lot of promises it made prior to the 2016 elections.

Obour to contest for NPP’s Asante Akyem South seat

The ruling New Patriotic Party opened nomination for parliamentary aspirants in constituencies that they won in 2016 this week on January 20.

According to John Boadu, the General Secretary of the party, the election of the parliamentary candidates and that of the presidential aspirants will come off on April 25.

In a statement to the media, Obour said after extensive consultations with his family and loved ones, he has decided to take the mantle from the incumbent MP.

During the visit, it was revealed that the oldest Tortoise is Ghana and Africa was found there.

‘Although am a University drop out, I still dream to be President’ – Quamina MP

Dope and prolific Ghanaian rapper under the GroundUp Music Movement, known in real ife as Emmanuel Ato Quamina Amonoo popularly known as Quamina MP, has revealed to his fans that that he wants to become the number one gentleman of Ghana although he dropped out of the University few year ago.

In an exclusive radio interview with Amansan Krakye, the ‘Wiase Y3 D3’ hitmaker disclosed that, despite his love and passion for music, becoming the president of Ghana is his childhood dream. The growing rapper and singer added dropping out of school due to financial challenges.

I had this great dream before I dropped out of the University due to financial difficulties. Although am doing good music now, nothing can stop me from achieving my goals,”  he said.

I know I will get back to school very soon, and I know my dream of becoming  President will happen ”  he stated.

The rapper Quamina MP, who is currently promoting his new song ‘Amanfour Girls’ which features Medikal revealed how made that great song happen.
